League Included as Resource in Publication
January 9, 2004
A few months ago PJ Publications, a publisher of animal related publications, contacted LAA to see if we would be interested in being included as a reference in their upcoming publication. After a lengthly conversation with the publisher, we determined that their publication would be beneficial to its readers and we consented to be included.

The pamphlet The Companion Bird Lover's Guide to Careers was recently published. The guide is packed with valuable information about careers for people who are passionate about pet birds. The author, Paula Fitzsimmons, covers such careers as Avian Rescue Director, Avian Veternarian, Bird Boarding Entrepreneur and selling wares to the companion bird market, which includes the profile of an artist that specializes in Avian artwork.
Each section of the publication includes a look at qualifications, salaries, the markets, the pros and cons, tips for getting started, resources and a profile of people working in the given field. This guide is ideal for high school students, college students, or anyone that is looking for a change of venue and may be intersted in a career involving companion birds.
The League has been listed as a primary resource in the Selling Wares section of the publication. We feel very honored to be included in the publication and wish the publisher much success with their newest publication.
Get more information and order your copy of The Companion Bird Lover's Guide to Careers by visiting PJ Publications website at:

While at their website, please check out the other animal career publications they have available. Who knows, you may find your dream career within the pages of one of their books!
