I went to art school at Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles and took additional illustration classes at the Academy of Art in San Francisco.
I have worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for 35 years (including having my own business for 8 years in San Francisco before entering the world of computer graphics) doing everything from fashion illustration, posters, publications, to website development.
Since I have worked on a Macintosh with a variety of software programs for 20 years, I needed to get "back to the board" and do my traditional artwork. Since I have always loved animals and dogs in particular, I was excited about doing paintings of dogs.
My initial interest was to do memorials of our well loved doggie friends as the winged angels in heaven that they really are. I am a dog lover from way back and have always owned shelter/rescue dogs whose heritage is only guessed at. They have all been wonderful friends.
