About Me
I am a farm wife and mom to two teen boys. I love to draw which I try to do on a daily basis. I am fortunate enough to live amoungst the most colorful animals which are often portrayed in my work. I raise yellow horses, red dogs, blue rabbits, purple cows, green goats! Who knew? This is how I see my world.
I belong to several eBay groups which promote animal art and ACEOs. I also am involved in Art2Art which is where we leave artwork in public places to brighten someone's day. I have been doing this sort of thing for years, hanging little drawings or paintings from trees or on a stop sign or just picking a name out of the phone book and mailing that person a piece of art. What is the sense of making art if one doesn't share it? I am also a part of a new local Art Association, Valley Art Association out of Chippewa Falls, WI.
Another cause of mine is homeless animals. I give a portion of my sales to our local humane societies which work so hard to make life better for any animal that shows up on their doorstep whether it be a stray or surrender. There are lots of great dogs just waiting for someone to love them! My proceeds go to Clark Co. Humane Society, Shawano Co. Humane Society (where I got my great Australian Shepherd, Ty!) and Aussie Rescue. Rescues are more than welcome to contact me for fundraising efforts. |
